Milaan Foundation envisions an inclusive and equal world where every girl has the knowledge, skills and social environment to pursue her dreams and explore her full potential. Over the last 12 years, Milaan has worked with more than 35,000 children and young people and advocated for safer and more inclusive spaces for them at various state and national platforms. The Milaan School specifically serves low income and lower cast families in a rural community in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Archana is a smart and charming girl. Her mother, Smt. Lalita Pal works in the school as a cook for the midday meal program. She has 2 sisters and one brother. She wants to enhance curricular and co-curricular skills. She wants to learn stitching. In her free time she likes to meet her friends and go out.

At a very early age, Anita left her studies due to her family's poor financial condition. She wanted to continue her studies however her family didn't allow Anita to join school again. After two years, she is back in school and is studying in class 5. She is 13 year old and lives with her joint family. Her father is a laborer. Anita aims to be a teacher and enjoys playing kabbadi.

Vibha is single sister of her three brothers. That's why she gets more preference in any activity in her home. Her grandmother loves her a lot. Vibha's father doesn't have any regular source of income. He is involved in small scale farming activities. Her mother is a home maker. Her one brother is also a part of the Swarachna Learning and Resource Centre. Vibha is an average student. She is quite shy girl. She likes Hindi classes and likes to read Hindi poems. Her hobby is to play badminton. She wants to be a teacher.

Tabassum comes from Muslim family. In her community the percentage of girl education is too low. In her family no single women is literate. Her father is unemployed. Some time he works as a labor. Her father doesn't like to be a part of parents meetings. Tabbasum is very active girls and in studies. She participate in every activity. She is a good dancer. She likes science and Hindi classes. In sports she likes to play badminton and other local sports. She wants to be a home science teacher.

Pammi is an active student. She participates in every activity. She helps her classmates in studies. She wants to become a teacher. Her hobby is reading Hindi books, especially motivational stories.
